The Six Attitudes of High Achievers
John R. Roe

1.Make no small plans:PLAN BIG
Everyone has plans for the future on what they want to do for a living. Many are inspired or just thought of being what they want to be in life. Whether it's being a police officer or a doctor, we would all strive for our dreams. Some have small plans for there future like," I'm going to graduate high school and get a job from there, college is too much for me." While others plan big on there future like,"I'm going to graduate high school with honors, graduate from a university, travel, have fun, per sue my dream job, get a family, and die happy. We all have simple and small plans that go straight to the point. Others have big plans for there future like learning something new or visit family from far away or travel. If anything, I also have small plans for my future, but once there is something I'm interested in, I'll add it to my plans for the future. Making my plans bigger and bigger along the way. It's natural to start off small and go big, what's funny is that many young children plan there future with very big plans in mind as well and start sharing those plans with family. I still have more plans in mind, I wonder if many people are finished planning and are actually putting it to affect. Well it's good to plan, since it's all about you.
2. High Achievers:
Achieving high is a very hard challenge. For some, it's just a walk in the park and will find out, that it would be very difficult to try. Others will find it difficult as is and stay average. A high achiever is more like a choice for everyone. Either stay average and graduate, or be a high achiever and not only graduate, but in high honors and many people remembering that you strive for greatness. Why not go for that chance. It will benefit you to strive high, you learn a lot, you will be noticed, colleges or universities would want you etc. Average is not bad, think of it as a better chance of getting accepted to college. Achieving a good life for you. There will be more work and assignments, there be a lot of studying, there will be many tests, but showing that you can do it can really benefit your future.

3.High Achievers are willing to prepare:
Achieving for anything is less saying and more doing. Saying that you will achieve this and achieve that is pretty easy to say. But hard actually attempting to do it. Every high achiever needs to prepare for what they are willing to do. Running a mile in under 7 minutes, you got to prepare before doing it. Going to your dream college or university, got to prepare. By that I mean make sure you have your recommended supplies. Kept your ego in check etc. It's not easy when it happens all of a sudden. That's why you got to be ready, for when that happens, you know what to do from there.

4.High achievers are willing to risk failure:
Achieving high requires much effort. You have to really have dedication and focus to achieve what you want to achieve. But perfection doesn't always happen. For you, it can be doing a test and you studied your hardest, but end up getting an average or below average. You will come across failure but you shouldn't let stay inside you. Learn from it, and try again on the next test. Going high can lead to failure or success, but you must be willing to risk failure to aim for success. For example," If you pass this test, you are all guaranteed to pass the class. Failure however can lead to to an F and have to take summer school. Now matter what grade you have, this will apply to everyone.

5. High Achievers are teachable:
High achievers are teachable. They are willing to understand the assignment and help other kids that need help and don't get what they have to do. They aren't afraid to get out thee and make new friends. They are able to go in front of the classroom and teach the whole class if they were able to. They have the ability to learn and and then after they get it, they can go and teach their classmates or parents etc. They can tell the whole wide world the new things that they learned in school. For example in 1st grade when the teacher is teaching the kids to count from 0-10. If the teacher sees that one student know the method on how to get their then she and/or he will send the kid to help another classmate that is struggling with the math. That's someone who is teachable. He and/or she is able to explain what they learned to someone else with no problem. They can be a mini teacher for all the other student as well.  In the picture I have chosen, it states "Be TEACHABLE. open your mind, learn and grow. The more you listen, the more you know." This talks about how if you have the ability to be open minded, then you will be able to learn anything. The more that you go out and learn, the more things you will know for later on in the future. Knowing more things will help you grow as well. For example, when you go to college and study really hard on the bones and muscles to become a Doctor, it will pay off for when you are helping a patient. All the other people that didn't take the time to study will be confused. That's when you know that you had the time to open your mind, learn and grow.

6. High Achievers have heart:High achievers have a heart. No matter what problems they might be going through, they still manage to keep a smile on their face. They always want to help when someone isn't feeling good or they're feeling sad. They can be going through many problems themselves but will still be there for you. If they see someone in need of help with grocery, they won't hesitate to walk over to them and offer to help them take it. They will always want to do good in life and never bad. They will choose the right when it comes to something. If they see trash or a bottle on the floor, they don't wait for someone to tell them to pick it up. They will pick it up themselves and throw it away because it's the right thing to do. Another example would be when they volunteer at a hospital or a can food drive. They want to help out and show that they actually want to be a part of their community. Being involved is a way to show that you have a heart because it shows to other people that you care about making the world a better place. Don't hesitate to do good. "The real beauty of someone is one with a good heart." This quote is saying that it doesn't matter about your insecurities that you might have, if you don't have a good heart then people won't like you
