Class Evaluation
  1. The thing I like about the class is the people in it, my friends and a very good teacher. I would go the class better since my friends are here.
  2.  The thing I don't like about the class is that the teacher is sensitive, even if you try to explain yourself, he shows complete denial on what we say. Another is that we only do quotes, barely in December we started to do codes, like he doesn't have any idea on what to teach us.
  3. How about more stuff to teach us earlier than later, so far its just quotes and thats not what I'm here for.
  4. My participation when he tells us to raise our hand for an example. I make good examples to catch and eye on the teacher and the students
  5. I do my best, that's why I have an A
  6. Sorry but only in class, in my house, I have more stuff to do than a journal. I have main goals and side goals already in mind, I don't need no journal to keep track on what I want to do.
  7. In a way, I would like to be CTR, for the greater good for my future.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Stephen R. Covey
Habit 1: Be Proactive

"Habit 1 is the key to unlocking all the other habits and that's why it comes first. It says, "I am the captain of my life. I can choose my attitude. I'm responsible for my own happiness or unhappiness. I am in the driver's sea of my destiny, not just a passenger."This is very important in our daily lives. For people who are unfamiliar with the word, proactive means, well, being active. By that, I mean not laying in bed all day, using your phone, and do nothing else all while laying down. Have you ever heard people tell you to be proactive, not the commercial for clearing acne but do you hear that sometimes. I sure hear here it plenty of times, it also counts if they say, be active. Playing a sport, exercising, drawing, doing chores etc. are all parts of being proactive. Sure you might be lazy an d ask yourself," I don't want to go outside,"you have to silly. I'll even say your proactive if you go outside sometimes. Being proactive is like an addiction, once you actually, and I mean actually have fun and do something you are interested in, you'll never be on lazy again. It also helps the mentality get rid of that laziness if you really try and not give up. Like if you have to do chores, not even hesitate and you complete the chores and the ones you weren't even told to do. To be honest, it works, I was very proactive to a point that my mom put a big smile on her face. That moment, when I saw that, I never wanted to make that smile fade away.
Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind

"Control your own destiny or someone else will." (Jack Welch)
Image result for begin with the end in mindDestiny is what is meant to happen for your future. Everyone has a destiny, whether you know, I know it, your friends know it, family knows it, neighbors etc. Basically, you here the word destiny in many places. Whether people say it in general, in movies, video games, the list goes on really. For me, I would say my destiny is to become a high ranking officer, have a family, and have my own kin. What's your destiny, ask yourself for a minute. Think hard and long about this. If you want you can comment about it,"just saying." Like I said, everyone has a destiny whether you agree with it or not. You could try to change your destiny, I'll give an example."Imagine that your a bad kid right, and you do bad stuff of course. But people say that he is a troublesome kid to you specifically. And say that if you keep this up, you won't survive the board game called life. You wonder, is that my destiny, to fail and not be what I want to be. Many just don't care but you, you can change that destiny and rearrange or discard it all together. It is possible to change it, succeeding will mean that you do it, a new destiny, a new you." Well, you control your destiny after all, don't let people control or change or destroy your destiny, it's based on your decisions that make your destiny come true.
Habit 3: Put First Things First

"Organize and execute around priorities."
This habit talks about how you should put the urgent things first. For example if you have a test for one of your classes the next day, you should stay home and study for it. You always put what's important first and then do everything else that isn't important after. You may have an essay due but you chose to listen to music, hang out with your friends etc. That's being a procrastinator. You always say you're going to do it but you get busy doing other things that it never gets done.

Habit 4: Think Win-Win

"Think win-win or no deal."
Image result for think win win
This habit is talking about how you should always think positive about yourself and never negative. Positive thoughts will help you be successful in life and it will let you know that you are going to achieve all those goals you have set for yourself. If everyone you know is giving you a hard time then ignore them. Don't let their negative comments affect your way of living and succeeding. Just always keep in mind that you can do it or you are going to make it. That will help you stay confident with your school work by just repeating to yourself those words. In the end you will only have yourself and your happiness. You are the only one that knows what you want to do and how you are going to achieve that. You will be the one to pick yourself up every time that you feel like falling and giving up.

Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, then to be Understood

"Diagnose before you prescribe."
What this habit is talking about is that you must first understand what is going on and then you will be understood by the people. You can't expect for someone to understand what you are teaching them if you don't understand what you are learning. Before you do anything you must stop to think about what you want to do. If someone is talking to you, you should listen to what they have to say and then add after any comments or questions you have for them. Don't interrupt them if you don't know what is really going on. Don't assume someone is doing good because they have a smile on their face. Take the time to understand what people are going through in order for them to understand you. You both can understand each other by listening first and then talking after. Before you criticize someone, wait until they tell you the whole story. In life there is always going to be a "listen before you speak," a "try before you want to quit" etc. You must know how to do the things before you want to jump into conclusions and judge someone by the outside. Don't judge a book by it's cover will take you a long way. You learn how to take the time to get to know someone without being judgmental.

Habit 6:  Synergize
"The whole is greater than the sum of its parts (1+1=3)"
To be honest, this word is kinda hard to understand by itself. I'm going to try to explain this word the best I can. Synergize is teamwork, and we all know what teamwork means. To help each other accomplish a goal, rather than doing it by yourself. We are all smart, but sometimes we struggle to handle it all on our own. By synergizing with someone else, they give you even more ideas or help in their point of view. You may know what the project is and what to do, but even you run out of ideas. Having someone with you can help you, tell you what they know and what to do, the more the better. That's teamwork for ya, more ideas, more help, synergize can really change what you are trying to accomplish.

Habit 7:  Sharpen the Saw
Four Dimensions of Self-Renewal: Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Social/Emotional
Sharpen the Saw means preserving and enhancing the greatest asset you have--
you. It means having a balanced program for self-renewal in the four areas of your life: physical, social/emotional, mental, and spiritual.

As you renew yourself in each of the four areas, you create growth and change in your life. Sharpen the Saw keeps you fresh so you can continue to practice the other six habits. You increase your capacity to produce and handle the challenges around you. Without this renewal, the body becomes weak, the mind mechanical, the emotions raw, the spirit insensitive, and the person selfish. Not a pretty picture, is it?
Feeling good doesn't just happen. Living a life in balance means taking the necessary time to renew yourself. It's all up to you. You can renew yourself through relaxation. Or you can totally burn yourself out by overdoing everything. You can pamper yourself mentally and spiritually. Or you can go through life oblivious to your well-being. You can experience vibrant energy. Or you can procrastinate and miss out on the benefits of good health and exercise. You can revitalize yourself and face a new day in peace and harmony. Or you can wake up in the morning full of apathy because your get-up-and-go has got-up-and-gone. Just remember that every day provides a new opportunity for renewal--a new opportunity to recharge yourself instead of hitting the wall. All it takes is the desire, knowledge, and skill.

Importance to set goals

Setting goals is important for you. It makes you look forward to something in the future. You can list down main goals about what you want to do when you grow up. You can put other side goals along the way, like what do you want to do besides heading towards your career. I want to do martial arts or I want to skydive or I want to know another language. You can put down goals that you learned or found an interest in from other people, or from what you saw. Even goals that lead to a happy and healthier life style like,"I'm going to love and respect my mom, and control my emotions". Finally a lifetime goal which is everyday and every time. There are plenty of unique, common, and different goals we have in mind. I have at least 100 goals in mind, but others can have up to 200 hundred, maybe even more. Striving for a goal is always something good to be doing.

Six Rules to make people like you
Dale Carnegie

Rule 1:Become Genuinely interested in other people
Everyone is very unique and different that you would like to be friends with them. From one being the smartest boy/girl in the class or someone that is similar to you. You'd like what they are able to do. There are some that are nervous to try or even, not talk to other people. I tell you this, don't just look at the exterior of a person, instead look at the interior. Take the time to get to know the person, be interested. Not as another person(change personality), but as yourself, only them will they truly find you interesting as well. It would be nice sharing what you can do as well as the person shows them what he/she can do. The more people you know, the more you will see how every person is interesting in their own way. If you avoid people because you are nervous or just don't want to, don't worry, their will always be someone who is willing to talk to you. I say this from experience because there was one student who was shy and didn't want to talk to anyone. It took one person to step up to him and talk to him, and trust me, he was interesting to talk to and I learn many things that he can do which made him more interesting. I won't say his name but he is my dearest friend till this day and on.

Ask questions to other people, questions that they would enjoy answering.

Rule 2: Smile!!!
Smiling is a key for meeting or greeting people. Imagine going up to a person, you greet them but not smile while doing it. For people that you know, you don't need to smile since you already know them. It's different for meeting new people, they will think you are weird and be cautious whenever you attempt to approach. It's always nice to smile to someone you are barely going to meet, they will think you are a nice person and will be willing to talk to you. People will trust someone more who show some emotion especially if you smile.

You don't like to smile, then force yourself to smile.

  Rule 3: Remember Names
Think of a scenario where you followed the previous steps. You're doing good on the conversation and the vibe. At the end, they say their first name and you to them. You want to remember that persons name. Think about it, what if you see him/her again and you forget their name and they remember your name. How awkward and messed up it would be. Also, why not remember their names after how you guys got along. Along they way, you will encounter other people that you will get along to. You should keep track of their names to. Not only will it help you identify who is who, but people will know that you truly know them.

"If you don't remember names, you are headed for trouble."
Rule 4: BE A GOOD LISTENER, ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO TALK ABOUT THEMSELVES
To get people to like you, you must be a good listener. You gotta show the other person that you know how to pay attention to what they have to say. When they are talking about something, you make eye contact with them to show that they have your attention. If you have to say something, let them finish what have to say and then talk after them. If you interrupt them while they are speaking then that's being rude. Show that they have all of your attention because who knows, maybe it's your teacher talking and then she asks you a question to make sure you were paying attention to her lecture. If someone knows that you aren't a good listener then they won't want to take the time to talk to you because they will feel like you don't care. By showing them that you know how to pay attention and care about what they say, they will like you more than when you aren't paying attention. To encourage others to talk about themselves is to make sure they have a high self-esteem. No matter what rude comments people might say about them, they keep their head high and go on with life. They can speak highly about themselves because that's how they feel. They know they are smart, or pretty, or nice because that's what they want to be.
"If you aspire to be a good conversationalist be an attentive listener."
Image result for good listening
Rule 5: Talk in terms of the other man's interest.
By talking in terms of the other man's interest, it shows that you care about their likes and dislikes. It's a way of respect towards them because the other person will know that you listen to what they have to talk about. Even if you don't find it interesting, don't just talk about your interest towards something. You have to give the other person a chance to talk about themselves and the things they find interesting to the things they don't find interesting. When that person is speaking, show that they have all your attention and ask questions if you have to, just to show that you are interested in what he/she is saying. When you take the effort to find out what interests the other person, the reward will be an enlargement of your life each time you speak to someone. The more people will like you when they know that you actually want to know their likes, dislikes, values etc. You take the time to listen and pay attention to what they have to say and that's being respectful. If you both have something that interests you in common, then mention it. The other person would like that you go along with the conversation and see any similarities and differences in each other.
"The royal road to a man's heart is to talk to him about the things he treasured most."
Image result for talk in terms of the other person's interest

Rule 6: Make the other person feel important- and do it sincerely
What this rule is saying is to always make someone feel like they are important no matter what. No one in their life ever wants to feel like they're unwanted. That makes someone feel bad about themselves because then they stay up in the middle of the night wanting to be like someone they're not. They will feel insecure about themselves, start dressing and speaking differently as well. I know that if someone didn't make me feel important then I would be hurt because everyone in life wants to mean something to someone. Whether it's your family or friends or people you work with or go to school with. No one should ever go through the fact that someone doesn't want them so they need to change their whole appearance. We should show respect towards them. Show that no matter what flaws they may have, they are perfect the way they are. We can also treat them how I would want to be treated or how I would treat my mom. If you go out and constantly be mean to everyone and give them attitude, then they are going to do the same thing back to you. When you're walking to the store or walking to your classroom, smile at the people passing by. That will make them happy because even though you don't know who they are, you made them feel like you care.

"The desire to be important is the deepest urge in human nature."

My Mom
My mom is the reason why I keep on living. She is my shield to help me from danger, she is the angel that guides the hero to a better path. She believes in me, that I will make it in life, the things she taught me will help me in the future. Everytime I come home, I always see a smile on her face and tells me about her day. Everytime I come home, she prepares food for everyone. She is the hardest working mom that I will know as she also strives to learn English. I feel safe when I'm in her arms, the warm feeling inside comes up, and all my problems go away. I would be willing to help my mom now matter what the problems are. Even though her past was rough, abuse, unfair for women, bullying, and hardworking at the age of 5. My mom went to America to follow my dad and continue their lives together. Even though she was abused in the past, and not all her relatives love her, she still cared for them and everyone had a change of heart. My mom was always looked down upon still today, but after all she did for me and taught me what to do, I won't look down on her and think of her as a caring and protective mom. Having a mom like that, I'm proud I have a mom like her.

The Six Attitudes of High Achievers
John R. Roe

1.Make no small plans:PLAN BIG
Everyone has plans for the future on what they want to do for a living. Many are inspired or just thought of being what they want to be in life. Whether it's being a police officer or a doctor, we would all strive for our dreams. Some have small plans for there future like," I'm going to graduate high school and get a job from there, college is too much for me." While others plan big on there future like,"I'm going to graduate high school with honors, graduate from a university, travel, have fun, per sue my dream job, get a family, and die happy. We all have simple and small plans that go straight to the point. Others have big plans for there future like learning something new or visit family from far away or travel. If anything, I also have small plans for my future, but once there is something I'm interested in, I'll add it to my plans for the future. Making my plans bigger and bigger along the way. It's natural to start off small and go big, what's funny is that many young children plan there future with very big plans in mind as well and start sharing those plans with family. I still have more plans in mind, I wonder if many people are finished planning and are actually putting it to affect. Well it's good to plan, since it's all about you.
2. High Achievers:
Achieving high is a very hard challenge. For some, it's just a walk in the park and will find out, that it would be very difficult to try. Others will find it difficult as is and stay average. A high achiever is more like a choice for everyone. Either stay average and graduate, or be a high achiever and not only graduate, but in high honors and many people remembering that you strive for greatness. Why not go for that chance. It will benefit you to strive high, you learn a lot, you will be noticed, colleges or universities would want you etc. Average is not bad, think of it as a better chance of getting accepted to college. Achieving a good life for you. There will be more work and assignments, there be a lot of studying, there will be many tests, but showing that you can do it can really benefit your future.

3.High Achievers are willing to prepare:
Achieving for anything is less saying and more doing. Saying that you will achieve this and achieve that is pretty easy to say. But hard actually attempting to do it. Every high achiever needs to prepare for what they are willing to do. Running a mile in under 7 minutes, you got to prepare before doing it. Going to your dream college or university, got to prepare. By that I mean make sure you have your recommended supplies. Kept your ego in check etc. It's not easy when it happens all of a sudden. That's why you got to be ready, for when that happens, you know what to do from there.

4.High achievers are willing to risk failure:
Achieving high requires much effort. You have to really have dedication and focus to achieve what you want to achieve. But perfection doesn't always happen. For you, it can be doing a test and you studied your hardest, but end up getting an average or below average. You will come across failure but you shouldn't let stay inside you. Learn from it, and try again on the next test. Going high can lead to failure or success, but you must be willing to risk failure to aim for success. For example," If you pass this test, you are all guaranteed to pass the class. Failure however can lead to to an F and have to take summer school. Now matter what grade you have, this will apply to everyone.

5. High Achievers are teachable:
High achievers are teachable. They are willing to understand the assignment and help other kids that need help and don't get what they have to do. They aren't afraid to get out thee and make new friends. They are able to go in front of the classroom and teach the whole class if they were able to. They have the ability to learn and and then after they get it, they can go and teach their classmates or parents etc. They can tell the whole wide world the new things that they learned in school. For example in 1st grade when the teacher is teaching the kids to count from 0-10. If the teacher sees that one student know the method on how to get their then she and/or he will send the kid to help another classmate that is struggling with the math. That's someone who is teachable. He and/or she is able to explain what they learned to someone else with no problem. They can be a mini teacher for all the other student as well.  In the picture I have chosen, it states "Be TEACHABLE. open your mind, learn and grow. The more you listen, the more you know." This talks about how if you have the ability to be open minded, then you will be able to learn anything. The more that you go out and learn, the more things you will know for later on in the future. Knowing more things will help you grow as well. For example, when you go to college and study really hard on the bones and muscles to become a Doctor, it will pay off for when you are helping a patient. All the other people that didn't take the time to study will be confused. That's when you know that you had the time to open your mind, learn and grow.

6. High Achievers have heart:High achievers have a heart. No matter what problems they might be going through, they still manage to keep a smile on their face. They always want to help when someone isn't feeling good or they're feeling sad. They can be going through many problems themselves but will still be there for you. If they see someone in need of help with grocery, they won't hesitate to walk over to them and offer to help them take it. They will always want to do good in life and never bad. They will choose the right when it comes to something. If they see trash or a bottle on the floor, they don't wait for someone to tell them to pick it up. They will pick it up themselves and throw it away because it's the right thing to do. Another example would be when they volunteer at a hospital or a can food drive. They want to help out and show that they actually want to be a part of their community. Being involved is a way to show that you have a heart because it shows to other people that you care about making the world a better place. Don't hesitate to do good. "The real beauty of someone is one with a good heart." This quote is saying that it doesn't matter about your insecurities that you might have, if you don't have a good heart then people won't like you.

Class Evaluation   What I liked about the class was the nice atmosphere in the classroom which was wonderful, nice people, kind teacher...
